Adding Text Bookmark Links onto a VSD Page

The idea of this page is to show as easily as possible how to add bookmark links into a page created with VSD. Ideal if you wish to create a Question and Answers page.

There are four tags that you need to know in order to achieve this.

<A NAME="Top of Page"></A> - This is where your visitor will be taken to when thet click the 'Top of Page' link.

<A href="#link1">Link description</A> - This is the link which will take your visitor to the required section on your page.
Note:- I have used #link1 as a value, you can change it to whatever you want but you must have the '#' at the beginning.

<A name="link1"> - This is the invisible link you place above the section you have linked to.

<A href="#Top of Page" name=TO>Top of Page</A> - This is the link that will take your visitor to the top of your page.

It may be a good idea to copy and paste the above tags into a text editor for future reference.

Building the links

This is example code to build your links, I build them using an ordinary text editor ready for adding them to VSD.

<A NAME="Top of Page"></A><br>
<A href="#link1">Q. I can't enter the '@' sign into an email field in Firefox or Opera?</A>
<A href="#link2">Q. Is it possible to have a multi-page form?</A>
<A href="#link3">Q. How do I setup email verification in Formbuilder?</A>

This is how the links will look when they are added to your page.

Building the sections you have linked to

This is example code to where you have linked to also showing the 'Top of Page' link

<A name="link1"></A>Q. I can't enter the '@' sign into an email field in Firefox or Opera?<br>
A. It appears there is a bug in both Firefox and Opera with none US keyboards when entering certain characters, especially the '@' key, into an input box when WMODE is used to set a transparent background.
Make sure you have unchecked 'Transparent Background' your form will function ok then. This problem is not caused by Formbuilder<br>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<A href="#Top of Page" name=TO>Top of Page</A><br>

<A name="link2"></A>Q. Is it possible to have a multi-page form?<br>
A. Not at present but it will be available in a future version.<br>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<A href="#Top of Page" name=TO>Top of Page</A><br>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<A name="link3"></A>Q. How do I setup email verification in Formbuilder<br>
A. You need 2 input boxes. Add your first input box and in the settings on the right select 'E-mail Address Field'. Now add a second input box and this time in the right hand settings select 'E-mail Verification Field. You can set them both as required fileds, when your visitor now fills in the form both e-mail addresses will have to be the same before they can submit the form.<br>

Adding your links to VSD

Once you have created your links it is time to add them to your page. This is made easier if you have created your code into a text editor because it will just be a case of Copy and paste.

Have your page open in VSD and click the 'HTML Tool' icon, or by selecting 'HTML Tool' from the Tools Menu.
Click on your page where you want your links to be and draw a box, the size of this can be editored later.
You should now have a window popup.

You now have 2 choices, you can either paste all the code into the Body of this box, or, you can just paste the links into the Body section of this box, then paste the the section your visitor goes to into another box and place it further down your page.

This is only the basic way of adding Bookmarks, but with a little practice you could place different links into different parts of your page.
