Flash Menu Builder

Having a way for visitors to find their way around your site is one of the most important factors when building your site. Coffeecup Flash Menu Builder lets you easily create an animated menu with just a few mouse clicks requiring little knowledge on the users part.

Menu Builder comes with a large variety of fonts and ready made buttons which when combined with the mouse over effects, sounds and animations allows you to build a menu very quickly.

Flash Menu - Front Page - FireFox and Internet Explorer 6

If your menus will show in FireFox but not IE and you are using Front Page:

For some reason when viewing the page in IE 6 the componants (SWF file) need to be in the main directory, but when viewing in firefox, the componants needed to be in the borders directory along with the left.htm.
This seams weird to me, must have to do with the Frontpage I am using. if I put them in the borders folder only, they would not show up in IE 6 but they will in firefox.
If I put the componants in the main directory, they show up in IE 6 but not firefox. So I copied them to both directories and it works in both browsers.

Tips and Tricks

  • The Flash Menu Builder offers two different styles, horizontal and vertical, for your website. Choose the style that best fits your needs from the Menu tab.
  • The root level contains buttons while the sub-levels contain menus.
  • You can choose any images for your button and menu background. Stick with a similar theme to incorporate your site's look and feel.
  • Be sure to preview your Flash Menu to ensure it displays exactly how you want it before uploading to the server.
  • When you save the Flash Menu you will be shown which files to upload to your server and the HTML code to copy and paste onto your page.
  • If you provide a URL for a button, once the user clicks they will be taken to that page instead of displaying any sub menus defined.
  • You can move menu items up or down using the blue arrow icons at the bottom of the Menu tab.
  • Selecting the '_blank' frame will open the link in a new window. Selecting the '_parent' frame will open the link in the parent frame, or the same window if not using frames. Selecting the '_self' frame will open the link in the current frame or the same window if not using frames.
  • You can right-click items and select "Delete" from the menu or press the trash-can icon to delete menu items.
