Questions - Answers

Q. Not everything on my website seems to have been scanned by Website Search!
A. Website Search is not able to scan Javascript, DHTML or SWF files. Any content in those areas will not be added to the search text.Try and have text links within your pages that Site Search can follow or manually add the pages.

Q. How can I stop the program from indexing my PDF files?
If you don't want to have your PDF files included in the search of your site, then all you have to do is click on 'Build Search' on the main screen, then choose the File Tab at the bottom. Now just take out the file extensions that you don't want included.

Q. What is the Scheduler?
A. This is a great feature of Website Search, and promises to be a great time saver for everyone.
Scheduler allows you to set up a time to re-scan your website in the future. Scheduler will even upload any changes to your server automatically for you once it has automatically completed the scan.
So your search page will always be up to date, and you will never manually have to rescan your site again.

Q. Can I customize the Search Result's Page to match my site?
A. Yes, you can. Enter your code to match your site under the Header and Footer Tabs in the Software.
